About this Event

Fraser Properties brings teams of swimmers together for the Annual Open Water Relay on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Governor’s Beach. The race begins at 4:00pm, with check-in and body marking taking place from 3:00pm to 3:45pm.

Teams of four will tackle a 4 x 400-metre open-water relay, with each swimmer completing one 400-metre loop before exiting the water to tag the next teammate on the beach. Teams may be male, female or mixed, adding a competitive but social element to an afternoon of sea swimming.

Participants receive race caps, a sponsor event bag, water and refreshments, with T-shirts also included. Awards will recognise the top three teams across the race categories. The event has a cutoff time of 1 hour and 20 minutes from the start.

Terms: Teams must consist of four swimmers, and <strong>no on-the-day entries are permitted</strong>. Teams may be male, female or mixed. Swimmers may compete up an age group, with the team's age group determined by its oldest swimmer. The race starts and finishes in the water, while relay changeovers take place on the beach. The Race Director may cancel the event if weather conditions threaten participant or organiser safety.
