Getting married represents a spiritual bond of trust between two people, and what better way to consecrate your love than having a beautiful Cayman wedding?
Being as there is no required waiting period for non-residents, getting married in Cayman is relatively simple compared to other countries in terms of marriage requirements. Even residents need only wait seven days while their notice of intended marriage is publicly posted.

Residents Getting Married In Cayman
Residents of Cayman may apply for a marriage certificate through either a religious minister or a civil registrar. Both parties intending to be married must give official notice indicating such to the civil registrar in the district where they reside. One of the two parties must have resided in said district for at least 15 successive days leading up to submitting the application.
Once the registrar is satisfied that all legal requirements have been met, he/she must display the notice of intended marriage for seven days in a conspicuous public place. Following this, if no objections are made, the registrar may issue a marriage certificate to be presented to the officer/minister performing the ceremony.
If the Cayman wedding is being performed by a religious minister, similar rules apply regarding the waiting period: the notice of intended marriage must be hung on the Church door(s) of the parties’ place of worship for seven days, in addition to the banns being published in the Sunday service brochure.
All marriages must take place between 6am-8pm, and be attended by a marriage officer and two other witnesses.
