Here at CayBlog, we have fond memories of summer camp. A great experience for kids, attending camp encourages socialization, independence, getting active and, of course, fun! Camana Bay, a popular Grand Cayman community, is offering a range of options for both local and visiting children throughout July and August. Check them out here.

Upcoming Summer Camps at Camana Bay

Multi-Sport Summer Camp

If your child is interested in sports, Camana Bay's Multi-Sport Summer Camp is the perfect choice for them. Kids between the ages of 6 and 17 are encouraged to attend and enjoy sports such as basketball, swimming, football, volleyball and more in a fun, supportive environment. The camp is divided into Week One and Week Two, with the former costing CI$125.00 and the latter costing CI$150.00. Week One runs from Monday July 21st to Friday July 25th and days are divided into 2 sessions. Session I runs from 830am to 12pm and is for 7 to 12 year olds and Session II runs from 1230 to 4pm and is for 13 to 17 year olds.

Shutterbugs Photography Camp

Shutterbugs Photography Camp is being held on the 14th, 21st and 28th of July, and on the 4th and 11th of August for children between the ages of 8 and 11. For children between the ages of 11 and 15 camp dates are the 18th and 25th of July and the 1st, 8th and 15th of August. Sessions will run from 9am to 12pm and take place at Picture This. Budding photographers will enjoy taking beautiful pictures of Camana Bay while learning the principles of the art form, as well as how to take care of a camera. Each session costs CI$35.00.

Summer Art Camp

Kids can really get creative at Summer Art Camp at the Camana Bay Town Centre, which is being hosted by Kara's Glass Garden and Yonge@Art. Designed for kids between 5 and 12 years old, the camp's “see-touch-do” method is ideal for all ages and fosters success. Running every Monday through Friday until August 15th, from 830am to 12pm, the cost is CI$45.00 per day, or CI$180.00 per week. Subjects will include papier mache, fabric painting, edible art, hand-painting glassware and more.
