The Cayman Islands use the same emergency telephone number as North America. Dial 911 to be connected to the emergency operator in Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac or Little Cayman.
Hurricane
In event of a hurricane, most radio stations broadcast emergency updates in these situations. You can also visit the Cayman Islands National Emergency Website.
Shelters
Many school and church buildings throughout Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman function as hurricane shelters. Some or all are opened depending upon the severity of the threat.
